Empress Motel - Ocean City

Seeing familiar faces among the friendly cleaning staff made my 5-night stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's upgrades keep the hotel feeling fresh and welcoming.

fairly clean, exceptional value hotel, its location was favourable and so close to boardwalk and beach, and close to the ocean. the room was freshly cleaned, cool with 2 double beds. everything here was nice.

Rooms show signs of aging, with outdated fixtures and limited electrical outlets. Frequent trips to a separate hotel for check-in can be tiring, especially if you have mobility issues. Housekeeping doesn't clean thoroughly. Beds remain unmade, and trash isn't collected unless you actively ask for it. There's also an unsettling vibe as non-guests are using the pool, raising security concerns.

Loved the close proximity to the beach! The room was clean, but the AC didn't work well and the noise from nearby partying made it hard to sleep 💤

great stay but minor pool areas need attention

The staff were nice! Their friendliness. The bathroom exceeded my expectations in cleanliness, it was pristine and bright. The pool area was a highlight, and I noticed a young man keeping the pool clean. The view from the pool was fine.
